New aerial silks cirriculum!
As many of you have noticed, our aerial silks program has changed. Classes now go by the name of Aerial Silks beginning and intermediate. We have also added an intro to silks for beginners. Here is how you know what class to attend.
If you were previously a 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 silks student you should attend the beginning class.
If you were a 2.5 or a 3.0, you are now an intermediate student.
The Intro to Silks class is for brand new students who need to learn how to climb and tie off. This class should be repeated until you have mastered these skills. If everyone knows how to climb and tie off, we can move through the beginning class cirriculum much faster.
The cirriculum has been amped up in difficulty with new moves that have never been taught in our studio. The beginning class will be difficult. Please only attend the intermediate class if you were able to master all of the 2.5 and 3.0 moves.
It may be wise to go back to the beginning level to learn all of the new moves that have been added to the cirriculum.
Each class has over 30 moves in it. Of course we can not accomplish all of these moves in one hour, so we will spread them out over the course of a month. This means that you will stay in each level for 2-3 months to ensure that you have learned all of the moves that class has to offer.
Advanced aerial silks will be added at a later date...but it promises to be much more difficult than intermediate with moves that demand only the most experienced aerial silks student.
I'm so excited!!! I love a challenge. Don't you?

Zombie Prom was a blast!
This years Zombie Prom was fun frickin' tastic! We had 19 aerialists and jazz performers put together an awesome routine. I would like to thank all the ladies (and one gentleman) who came to the multiple practices and dress rehersals. It was a lot of work and many hours spent away from our families...but I think it was well worth it :)
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!
Remember, our aerial performers are available for special events, parties, and more. Call 801-678-0225 for pricing!

Fire dancing workshop coming!
Fire dancing workshop for beginners
Friday, August 13th
Midvale location
6:00-8:00pm
$40 at the door
Master instructor Elisha will teach us all how to start fire dancing. Don't worry, we will not be using real fire for this beginners class. We will provide you with learning materials (tube socks & tennis balls....need I say more).
At the conclusion of this class, Elisha will give us a live demonstration with real fire! Do not miss this workshop.
You don't need to be an aspiring fire dancer to take this class. Sometimes, it's just fun to get out of your element and experiment with something new and exciting.
RSVP for this class by clicking here.
Payment due the day of workshop.

Is pole really a sport?
Watch this video and decide for yourself. This proves that the pole's only influence wasn't just the strip club. Other countries have been doing this for hundreds of years.
Thanks Hope Mccurdy for finding this wonderful video!

Back to work
As the studio owner, I have sort of started getting lazy when it comes to my pole moves :) It's amazing how quickly you lose your strength and the tough skin on your inner thighs. My skin hurts all over again! Last week, I started re-traininy myself on the pole with the help of my man Justin. Here is our progress :)
Dance Trapeze in Midvale
New teacher, Reagan, taught her very first dance trapeze class at Midvale this week. Great job Reagan! Here is a video for those who missed it.
