Prodigy!

Every once in a while, a student steps into these doors and amazes me. This time however, it is two girls who have me blown away. Angie and Jessica are gymnists who found their way into the Midvale studio. One has the legs of a goddess and the other is super duper strong. They were in my intermediate class tonight after taking only one beginners class, and they soared through the material. Every move I threw at them, they conquered with ease on their first try.

I told both of them that they should take pole very seriously and do as well as they can. They could be very strong competitors at a national level in the very near future given the right training.

I am soooooo excited! Next time I see them I'm taking video :)

Pasties!

I'm trying to raise money for my hippie wedding :) I have some hand made pasties that I spent all day making and I'm selling them to help pay for our plane tickets to San Diego where we will be getting married in December. So, if you want to surprise your man, come grab a pair from either studio. They come in a cute bag for storage and the application glue is included. $10

Pole shorts are here!

We just got our first shipment of dance shorts that are perfect for pole dancers.

Wear them high on your waist


Side zipper that allows your shorts to roll down exposing more stomach only when you need it!


The material is very light weight and very breathable.


These pole shorts are available at both studio's as of November 4th.

Tip of the week

This aerial silk tip of the week comes from instructor Annie Dickson.

#1 For cosmetic and safety purposes, keep ankles in line with your body. Ankles should be straight and not sickled. This can cause unnecessary falls and it can make your moves look lazy.

#2 Attend open aerial whenever you get the chance. Just one hour of extra practice each week will allow you to progress much faster.

#3 Listen to your body! Don't do more than you are able. If your arms are too worn out, stop, climb down, and try it again in 10 minutes.

#4 When performing a routine, always use a crash mat! Even professional dancers miss steps and occaisionally have a big fall in front of a crowd. Safety should be number 1!

You don't need to be a student or a friend of a student to attend the recital. The public is welcome. This is a great opportunity to check out the studio and it's teachers and students. The owner of the studio will be at the front desk all night to answer questions.
