March Jazz class

Here is the dance that Devon is teaching for March. So so great!

Student of the month!

Our March student of the month is Amber Hoganson.

Amber has been a student since early 2009 and has excelled in pole and aerial arts. She has referred many of her friends and family who have also become students. Her teachers love her willingness to push her body above and beyond it's limit. Amber will be competing next month in the studio's pole dancing competition in the advanced division.

Amber, thank you for being such a great client of Adult Dance & Fitness. We love ya!

Intro to Pole

Last night, Tracie taught a great class to a great group of women. I just love how everyone in class came in groups. It's so much easier to loosen up and have fun when you're with a friend. I had my camera handy, so I snapped some pictures for everyone to enjoy.

Jodie brought her friend Elisha and her sister Janet.

Chalese and Cassie are co-workers.

and friends Mia and Kimeisha also came together. Thanks for coming ladies. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Hair Salon

Our studio is so spacious, that we have invited another business to keep us company.
Please welcome Evolve Hair & Nail Salon!!!!

Channing is the owner, is a fantastic hair dresser who has decorated her space so so cute! Her salon is located inside of Blue at 2440 Washington Blvd. She has taken over the former tanning bed room. To book a hair or nail appointment, call her at 801-388-3275.

Pole dancing comes to ABDC!

It looks like a pole dancing group has made the hit dance show "America's Best Dance Crew"! This is so great for dance and pole. I am so excited for this season now! Let's root for these girls for breaking through the mold and taking their poles to unknown territory.

Comment Box

Big thanks to everyone who has been utilizing our comment box. Mostly, the feedback has been very positive with much praise to the staff at ADF. Any compliments you give to our staff is directly passed on to them and it totally makes their day. So, if you have a favorite teacher and you want to let her know that she is fantastic, leave a note for her at the front desk in the comment box. She will love it!

In the box, I have also gotten some great advice from the students that I will be implementing a.s.a.p. The most frequent request that I get is that the students want more 5:00pm classes. Granted! Look for more early evening classes to be added to the schedule next month.

Keep 'em coming!

How time flies!!!

About two months ago, we had our groupon promotion where we found about 200 new students to attend the studio. Many of you groupon gals started class right away and already, a bunch of you are already in intermediate classes. I am so very impressed. Keep up the good work and we can't wait to see you in the advanced classes very soon.

Q: How long should I stay in each level of pole/aerial?

A: Intro classes should be completed in 2-5 classes depending on many factors including your strength, weight, and how often you attend class. It is suggested that you try to attend at least 2 classes per week to keep your muscles focused.

After that, you will progress to beginner, then intermediate, and finally advanced. Each of these levels are much more intense and require a larger time commitment. Each level should take approximately 6-12 classes. Once you reach the advanced levels, you can literally stay at that level forever. Our advanced classes are constantly changing and keeping up with industry trends.

Happy dancing!

Advanced pole girls.

One of the students took this fun picture of some of our advanced pole girls. Looks like fun!!!

Tonight was such a fun night to be at the studio. We had over 60 women in classes tonight and the atmosphere was so cool. It didn't matter if you were a beginning pole dancer, a hip hopper, or a trapeze student, everyone was having fun and enjoying ADF.

We had lots of new girls in our Intro to Pole class
(the one showing the abs is the instructor :)

The hip hop class tonight was HUGE with 17 girl in attendance. Every girl walked out of the studio in a heavy sweat (that's a good thing).

And, we had our weekly break dancing battle which was won by an 8 year old called "Freak Kid". Way to go!

Thank you for attending classes at the studio and showing your support by referring your friends and family. Don't forget to get your raffle ticket at the front desk each time you attend a class. This week, we are giving away a Bad Kitty gift basket. It's gonna be good!!!

Facebook Surfing!

Every so often, I will stalk my students on facebook and see who is using their camera in class (which is highly encouraged). Here's who I found this week:

Elizabeth on the silk

Amanda on the aerial hoop. This move is much harder than it looks :)

Nicole playing around on the corde lisse. Classes coming soon.

Coryne showing off her guns after kick boxing class. Notice Justin (Meagan's husband) in the background ruining the picture as always.

Tiff and friends trying out some multi-player moves.

Tiffany showing off the flexibility that she has worked soooo hard for!

Britney, who is naturally flexible, performing a half moon for the camera.

And Di balancing in the aerial hoop.

Thank you for sharing your love of the arts on your facebook pages!
